DPF DELETE TUNING
WHAT IS DPF DELETE TUNING AND WHY DIESEL TRUCK OWNERS CHOOSE IT
The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) is designed to reduce emissions, but in real, world conditions, especially under heavy load or long highway runs, it creates more problems than it solves.
DPF delete tuning is the process of reprogramming your truck’s ECM (Engine Control Module) so it stops trying to manage the DPF, EGR, DEF, and SCR systems. The result: no more regenerations, no more fault codes tied to emission systems, and a more predictable, stable engine.
This isn’t a temporary fix. It’s a permanent modification done entirely at the software level, with no need to physically remove parts or send your truck to a shop.
DPF, EGR, DEF and SCR: What Each System Does and Why They Fail
Understanding which system is causing your problem makes it easier to get the right solution:
- DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) : traps soot particles from exhaust. Clogs over time, triggering forced regeneration cycles that interrupt your work and drain fuel.
- EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) : recirculates exhaust gases back into the intake. Causes carbon buildup in the intake manifold, overheating, and power loss over time.
- DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) / SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) : injects urea to reduce NOx emissions. When the DEF system fails, the truck dethrottles to limp mode and won’t run above 5 mph until the issue is resolved.
Any one of these systems can take your truck off the road. When they start failing together, which happens a lot in high-mileage engines, the repair costs and downtime add up fast.
Signs Your Truck Needs a DPF Delete: Constant Regen, Limp Mode, and Power Loss
Your truck might be telling you something. These are the most common signs we see before an owner calls us:
- Forced regen cycles happening every few hours, or regen that won’t complete
- Truck going into limp mode, capped at low speed with the check engine light on
- Loss of power under load, especially climbing grades or hauling heavy
- Fault codes like SPN 3251, SPN 3936, SPN 4334, or a long list that keeps coming back
- DEF warning lights, DEF quality errors, or SCR system faults
- High EGT (exhaust gas temperature) readings or EGR cooler failures
If any of these sound familiar, the problem is almost certainly tied to the emission systems, not the engine itself. A DPF delete tuning resolves the root cause, not just the symptom.
SERVICES
OUR DPF DELETE TUNING SERVICE: HOW THE REMOTE PROCESS WORKS
Everything we do is remote. You don’t move the truck. You don’t wait days for a shop appointment. The entire process takes approximately one hour, and we’re with you every step of the way.
Here’s exactly what happens:

STEP 1: SEND US YOUR ENGINE MODEL, ESN, AND ECM SOFTWARE VERSION
Before we can build your calibration, we need to identify your truck’s exact configuration. This step usually takes 5–10 minutes.
What you’ll need to send us:
- Engine make and model (e.g., Detroit Diesel DD15, Cummins ISX15, Paccar MX13)
- ESN (Engine Serial Number) , found on the engine dataplate
- ECM software version, we can guide you through how to read this if needed
- A description of the current problem or the services you’re requesting
Once we have this, we can confirm compatibility and start building your file immediately. No guesswork, no back-and-forth for days.
STEP 2: WE BUILD A CUSTOM ECM CALIBRATION FOR YOUR SPECIFIC TRUCK
This is where most tuning services fall short. Many providers take a generic file, swap the VIN, and send it. We don’t work that way.
Every calibration we build is generated specifically for your engine model, your ECM software version, and your truck’s current configuration. We account for differences in injection timing, power mapping, torque curves, and the specific fault codes your engine is throwing.
This matters because a generic file that works on one DD15 can cause new fault codes or unstable behavior on a different DD15 with a different software version. Custom calibration is what makes the difference between a stable, permanent result and a truck that needs to be reflashed three months later.
Depending on your engine and the services requested, we may modify:
- DPF delete parameters: turns off filter regeneration logic and associated fault codes
- EGR delete: disables exhaust gas recirculation control and monitoring
- DEF/SCR delete: removes DEF injection logic, urea monitoring, and derating triggers
- DTC code suppression: clears and suppresses emission-related fault codes permanently
- Power and torque optimization: if requested alongside the delete

STEP 3: FLASH YOUR TRUCK REMOTELY AND GET BACK ON THE ROAD IN ~1 HOUR
Once your calibration is ready, we walk you through the flashing process in real time. You’ll need a laptop and a compatible interface cable (J1939 or protocol RP1210 depending on your engine). We’ll tell you exactly which one if you’re not sure.
The flash itself takes 45–60 minutes. We stay on the chat with you throughout the entire process to make sure everything goes smoothly. After flashing:
- You will be able to verify that all DPF-related fault codes have disappeared. and verify no new codes are present
- You will perform a brief test to confirm that the engine responds correctly.
- Confirm regen cycles, DEF alerts, or limp mode triggers are no longer active
If anything comes up during or after the process, we’re available for technical support. We don’t disappear after you pay
Compatible Engines: Detroit, Cummins, Paccar, Mack, and Volvo DPF Delete Tuning
We work with the most common heavy-duty diesel engines in the US and Canadian market. If your truck runs one of these engines, we can help:
Detroit Diesel DD13, DD15, DD16, and Series 60 DPF Delete
Detroit Diesel engines are some of the most common in long-haul fleets — and some of the most problematic when it comes to DPF and EGR failures. We specialize in DD13, DD15, DD16, and the older Series 60, across multiple ACM and ECM software versions.
Cummins ISX, X15, ISB 6.7, ISM, ISC, and ISL DPF Delete Tuning
Cummins ISX, X15, ISB 6.7, ISM, ISC, and ISL DPF Delete Tuning
Cummins is the most searched engine brand for DPF delete services — and for good reason. The ISX/X15 model, the ISB 6.7 the ISM, ISC, and ISL families all have very common DPF and EGR as it incurs high repair costs. We work with CM871, CM2250, CM2350, and other ECM trucks.
Paccar MX13, PX7, PX8, PX9 — Mack MP7, MP8 — Volvo D13, D16
We also cover Paccar engines (used in Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks), Mack MP7 and MP8, and Volvo D13 and D16 models. If you’re not sure your engine is compatible, send us the model and ESN — we’ll confirm before you commit to anything.

Why Fleet Owners and Diesel Shops Choose Our ECM Tuning Service
There’s no shortage of people offering DPF delete files online. Most of them will take your money and send you a generic file with no support. Here’s what makes the difference when you work with us:
Custom Calibrations, Not Generic Files — Built for Your Exact Engine Configuration
Every truck is different. Two DD15 from the same year can run different ACM software versions — and a file calibrated for one won’t necessarily work correctly on the other. We build each calibration from your specific ESN and software version, which means the result is stable, clean, and tuned to your actual engine — not to an average.
This is why our customers don’t come back with new fault codes a month later. The work is done right the first time.
Stable, Permanent Solutions — No More Fault Codes, Regen Cycles, or Limp Mode
We’re not in the business of band-aid fixes. If your truck had 14 active fault codes tied to the DPF and EGR system, after our service it should have zero and they won’t come back.
The calibrations we build are designed to be permanent. No scheduled re-flashing, no re-enabling of deleted systems, no surprise regens six months down the road. The truck runs, and you can focus on the work, not the dashboard.
Frequently Asked Questions About DPF Delete Tuning
How long does a remote DPF delete tuning take?
The entire process — from sending us your engine info to completing the flash — typically takes around 1 hour. The calibration build takes 20–30 minutes once we have your data, and the flash itself takes 15–30 minutes depending on your engine and interface.
If you need it done the same day, contact us in the morning and we’ll do our best to schedule you for that afternoon.
Will the DPF delete remove fault codes and stop the check engine light?
Yes. The calibration we build suppresses the fault codes associated with the deleted systems, not just clears them temporarily. This means the codes won’t come back the next time the ECM runs a self-check. The check engine light goes off and stays off.
If there are any unrelated fault codes present (sensor faults, mechanical issues unrelated to the emission system), those will still appear. We’ll tell you upfront what’s emission-related and what isn’t.
Do you provide support after the ECM tuning is complete?
Yes. If anything comes up after the service, a new code, a behavior question, or something that doesn’t seem right — you can reach us by WhatsApp. We stand behind our calibrations.
Most of the time, post-service issues are minor and resolved in a single message. In the rare case that something needs a re-flash, we handle it.
What information do I need to get started with remote DPF delete tuning?
You’ll need:
- Engine make and model (Detroit DD15, Cummins ISX, Paccar MX13, etc.)
- ESN Engine Serial Number from the dataplate on the engine block
- ECM software version (we can help you read this if needed)
- A laptop and a compatible interface cable for the flash (nexiq)
That’s it. Contact us with those details and we’ll confirm compatibility and give you a quote on the same message.
